Discover Prompts, Day 1: Joke

Hey there, friends!

I blogged recently about using writing prompts and never actually got around to using one because I found inspiration and went with it at the time.

But I am sitting here now, thinking about a dozen different things I could write and I’m not feeling any of it so I am going to do what I said I’d do and try this prompt from Discover Prompts.

Writing Prompt #1 – “Joke”

Sometimes I think I’m funny. And other times I think, “maybe I’m the joke”

You know the “joke is on you. pal!” And I don’t know why I think this but I do. When I was a kid, I used to be so shy and introverted and even now, as an adult I still can’t do certain things. I feel crippled. Coming back to “being a joke” – now that’s kinda funny because in a way, I just proved to myself that I am a kind of joke. Not one that you’d ever want to tell. Just you know, a silly person. I think sometimes we are all “silly people”. Sometimes we don’t know when the joke is on us.

But sometimes, it is.

The End.

Let me know what you think of my writing prompt – think you can write something about a joke? Please let me know if you feel like sharing! I will be tagging all of these posts with #postaday and #writing prompt – and I am going to see if this works and makes it easier for me to find like-minded writers on WordPress that I can connect with.

Thanks for reading and as always, please be safe out there and I’ll catch you in the comments or tomorrow’s post!
