Hi everyone,
I enjoyed the first prompt exercise I did the other day so I’m going to keep at it and see how well it improves my writing flow (although, I have been fairly creative lately so it hasn’t been too much of an issue as yet). There’s always time for the creative flow to run dry so I’m going to get into the habit of using prompts in-between writing sessions.
Writing Prompt #2 – Open
When you’re not open
Feelings get frayed
Time passes me by
Window lets in the light
But everything within goes dark
Open yourself to me
Let me get closer
Deeper, the longing remains
Without a way in
I feel my heart
Is wrapped within your chains
Everything that was dark
Is no more
Opened my heart to you
And love ran recklessly
Through both of our souls
But you weren’t open
Not to me…
Not to love
I pushed as hard as I could
And still, you left me longing
Waiting is a game
I can play for you, forever
Stay safe out there my friends, keep writing and I’ll see you in tomorrow’s post!
