Writing Prompt #3 – Song
I sing a song in my head almost every day. I don’t know why that is but I seem to wake up with certain songs in my head. And it changes – not every day but most days it will be a different song waiting for me to hum it or “give it life” so-to-speak.
I am sure I am not the only person out there that uses music as a way of finding inspiration to write. Usually when I do this, I choose songs that have a melancholy tone to them and again, I don’t know why that is. I’ve always felt that way when it comes to music and writing – the sadder the music, the better I seem to write. Which is odd, I know, but that is my process.
