Blogging Post Calendar

So things have become quite dire in terms of being able to keep three blogs updated on a daily basis. And with my current writing block (yup, I still have it), it’s making it a lot more difficult to manage. So I bit the bullet and I’ve downloaded a blogging post calendar so I can plan every post daily. It’s actually a yearly planner but I am taking it daily at the moment.

The thing with writing as a craft is that it’s like any other creative process – sometimes you can only be creative when you feel it. I don’t want to write anything if it’s forced because that is not writing or art for that matter. That said, the purpose of #postaday is to build a writing habit which I feel I have done successfully so far. It’s the perseverance that is kicking me in the butt a little this week.

But I did make a promise to myself to post daily and I am (so far) still doing that and a post calendar might help me to feel less frustrated when I know what I should be working on ahead of time.

So I am going to give it a go and see how it works out. Please let me know in the comments if you have a daily or weekly posting routine or if you use content calendars on your blog. I am keen for any advice 🙂

Here is the link to the calendar I am using if anyone wants to check it out or use it.

Until tomorrow, stay safe and keep creating!

  1. Wow, it’s pretty awesome that you’re maintaining a few blogs at one go. I can’t even do one properly. Hope this calendar method works out for you, and here’s to wishing that you get over your writer’s block!

    • Hi there and thank you 🙂 I have started using the post calendar and already I can feel the frustration ebbing away lol 🙂 I have posts for one of my blogs all sorted (well the planning part at least). I am going to apply that to my other blogs and see if it works out. With regards to the writer’s block, I am doing okay writing everywhere else but my writing blog (so typical!) lol it’s quite funny when I think about it but I am hoping to be over it by the weekend 😀
