So today I had to go into work and got zero writing done – when I am at home I can multi task a lot better but when I am in the office, it’s a lot harder to juggle several different tasks so I am technically behind schedule with my writing. I aim to get back there hopefully tonight as I have nothing else to do but write.
How is everyone else doing with their NANOWRIMO challenges? I hope you are all meeting your goals or at least still working towards whatever they may be. If there is one thing I’ve learned about NANOWRIMO so far it’s that anyone can give you a number – for NANOWRIMO it’s “officially” 50K words but I think as long as you are making progress in your own way and at your own pace, you are improving as a writer and that’s more important than a word count. However, if you are doing NANOWRIMO with the sole purpose of going through the publishing process until you’re published, NANOWRIMO is a different beast altogether.
I’m not there yet and I know I have a long way to go before I can feel confident enough to do that but this has been a great experience so far so I’m feeling positive.
Yesterday I uploaded the final part of Milly’s story which you can read here if you haven’t already. I didn’t get too much traction on the final part but I am still keen to upload the follow-up story that I am currently writing. As long as I know people are reading it and liking it, that’s enough encouragement for me to continue writing. I do love these characters and their world and I feel like I still have a story to tell about Milly and Ethan.
Thanks for reading, please leave a comment if you’ve got any questions or if you’re doing the NANOWRIMO so I can check out your blog and follow fellow writers 🙂
