I am hoping that someone will reply to this post because I am kinda stuck at the moment. I have been enjoying writing every day but the weekend got away with me due to other commitments (Sundance was on so reviews had to be written) so now my writing blog sits here unattended.
So what do you usually do when you write on your blog about writing – do you think it’s important to remain consistent for your readers, so you’re blogging to a schedule? Or do you think it’s important that you write when you feel like writing or have something important to say?
I suppose it depends on the writer a lot too. I am used to writing every day as I have a journal. So no matter how little writing I do elsewhere, technically, I am still writing every day. Journals are handy for that. Plus having a day by day journal means that you’re kind of required to write daily, so it forces a daily writing habit without you really noticing it.
I also have this thing where if I don’t write on my blogs and don’t keep to a schedule, I feel like I’ve let myself down. I know I am pretty hard on myself, but that is how I stay focused on what I need to do.
Speaking of that, I have to also reassess the goals I set myself a few weeks back. Things are not going to plan in any way. Reassessment or readjustment is needed methinks.
How are you all doing with your new year’s writing resolutions? Sound off in the comments as I’d love to chat 🙂
If you’re new to my blog – thank you for coming and welcome! I will assume you’re here for the writing and you can read my Tales of the West series starting with Milly’s story (Part I) and Ethan’s follow-up story recently completed (Part II).
