The Writer’s Toolbox – Fictionary for Fiction Writers

I’ve been looking at an app called Fictionary. Has anyone that follows me used it or heard of it? Or do you have any other recommendations for fiction writing? I am thinking of signing up to their two-week trial to see how it works.

I signed up to the free trial and I am going to use examples of my writing to see how this tool works for fiction writers. I dabble in short story writing and fan fiction so I’d like to see how this app can tighten up my writing and whether or not it’s even something fiction writers should be considering for their manuscripts.

I also jumped onto the ProWritingAid bandwagon not so long ago and I’ve been really enjoying this app. It has a lot of bells and whistles but it is extremely useful for showing you where you need to work on grammar, spelling and style in general for any type of writing. I actually found Fictionary because it can come bundled with ProWritingAid.

If you have any suggestions for tools, please let me know in the comments as I am keen to try new things! Also for all the poetry writers out there, I think you can use Fictionary for poetry as well but I’ll confirm that once I’ve had time to use it.

Until my next post, stay safe, keep writing and I’ll catch you later

The Art of Blogging – Free Course

This course looks legitimate, and I think it will benefit anyone no matter what level of experience you may have.

THEARTOFBLOGGING

Hello everyone. I hope you are all well and safe.

I just wanted to make a quick post about a free blogging course that is up for grabs from Cristian Mihai on WordPress. Cristian is a well-known blogging entrepreneur on the WordPress blogging platform. He has thousands of followers, and he is willing to give his advice for free in this course.

I usually wouldn’t sign up as I am a little reserved about signing up for things online. But this course looks legitimate, and I think it will benefit anyone no matter what level of experience you may have.

I’m going to work through this course myself, and while it might take me a while to complete it, I will be blogging about it here. So if you’ve got doubts, I’ll be reviewing it lesson by lesson.

If you’re interested, keep an eye out for my Art of Blogging posts coming up. If you’re keen to check out the course, you can do so right here.

Until my next post, keep safe and keep writing!

The Writer’s Toolbox – ProWritingAid

I finally took the plunge and subscribed to ProWritingAid. I spent some time with the trial version which I experimented with for two days and I liked what I saw of it, but there’s a lot to learn.

PROWRITINGAID

I finally took the plunge and subscribed to ProWritingAid. I spent some time with the trial version which I experimented with for two days and I liked what I saw of it, but there’s a lot to learn.

I went with ProWritingAid because someone on Twitter asked for my opinion on it and I could not give one. So I figured, why not check it out?

The marvellous thing about ProWritingAid is that you can drill all the way down into the very nitty-gritty of your writing. That means that not only will you get a report on your grammar misuse, your readability score, and your use of cliche and common words, but ProWritingAid will give you reports on statistics for areas of the written word you may not have heard of. It really is that detailed.

I was looking for something that would combine what I was already using into one nice package, and ProWritingAid does that for me really well. When I run my work through the app, I primarily stick to the summary report, which gives you overall statistics for the areas of your work that you’re familiar with.

If you’re looking for an all-purpose writing tool that has every bell and whistle, ProWritingAid is the tool for you. It was on special when I subscribed, and I purchased a license for one year.

If you’re keen to check it out, here’s the website.

I would suggest using the trial version first if you can. Then you can write a review of the product on your blog and you’ll qualify to get a pro license for one year for free!

If you try it out, please let me know what you think in the comments as I’d be interested to know how you get on.

Til my next post, keep safe and keep writing!

Review ProWritingAid and Get a Free License!

If you review ProWritingAid on your website or blog and it meets the criteria specified in the link I gave you above, you should qualify for a free one-year premium license.

Hi everyone!

I have had little to say here in some time as I’ve been focusing on how to upskill in Photoshop. I was also trialling the Upwork freelance writer job website to figure out if it was the right fit for me. More on that in a later post.

For now, I wanted to blog about ProWritingAid because it’s an excellent opportunity to get a free premium one year license. There are exceptions, but you’ll love this idea and will sign up straight away like I did!

Visit this link on their website first to read about their offer. If you review ProWritingAid on your website or blog and it meets the criteria specified in the link I gave you above, you should qualify for a free one-year premium license.

Sounds amazing, right? As I have yet to use ProWritingAid, I am excited to see if it’s everything people have been tweeting about.

Pro Writing Aid Trial Offer

Speaking of Twitter, ProWritingAid has another offer. If you sign up for their free trial (which you need to do to review it), tweet about it on Twitter, you could qualify for a free month. For anyone that signs up for the premium license because of your tweet, you get a free month added onto your trial!

I will use ProWritingAid to correct and check this blog post. Let’s take a look at what this app can do for my writing!

In the meantime, you can catch me on my other blog where I’m just about to upload another tutorial for Photoshop. But if you’re focused entirely on writing, follow me here. It would mean a lot!

Thanks, everyone, until next time, keep safe and keep writing!
